The Company

With Prolific, we're changing how research on the internet is done. Katia and Phelim started by building a marketplace that connects researchers (from both Academia and industry) with instant, high quality, global research participants. Now, as a growing team of 15, the bigger vision is to build the most powerful and trusted platform for behavioral research.

We've recently been part of Y Combinator's Summer 2019 batch and are growing and scaling the company from London, UK.

The Role

At the core of Prolific is our fast growing platform which connects thousands of researchers with tens of thousands of participants. We have ambitious plans to scale and develop this as well as other new products, such as an API platform and Data reuse tools.

You’ll work closely with the Executives to help define our goals, strategy and roadmap, and translate this into successful product launches, within our cross-functional product team.

The ideal candidate will have worked in a related role for at least 3+ years, including preferably at other high growth startups and will be looking for a role that combines UX, Tech and Business. We value a broad range of experience and skills, the salary is negotiable based on experience and very senior candidates are also encouraged to apply.

This is your chance to get involved in a fast-moving startup where you’ll have huge influence over the trajectory of the product. Since it’s a startup, you’ll have the opportunity to suggest how you can best add value, and make any recommendations about improving the processes and product. We're a fast-growing company and we want to help you grow with us.

Key responsibilities:

  • Represent the customer within the development process, transform user needs or pain points into solutions.
  • Translate business strategy into product strategy and articulate the product vision.
  • Write requirements – typically as user stories and epics.
  • Maintain and prioritize the product backlog and product roadmap.
  • Participate in and lead daily scrum meetings, planning, reviews and retrospectives.
  • Manage all aspects of in-life products, including customer feedback, requirements, and issues.
  • Collaborate with teams across Prolific to align plans, unblock development, and communicate changes with Prolific customers.
  • Track and monitor your features' performance and functionality after launch to iterate and improve on them.

You will have:

  • 3+ years experience in a product manager role, ideally at a high-growth startup.
  • Interest in research, psychology, behavioral science or similar.
  • Excitement to work for an early-stage, fast-growing startup.
